Post 7: Changes to my Study programme
I think there are a lot of things about my career and university that should change or at least improve. In the first place, regarding the curriculum, theories and research from Latin America should be included mostly, since most of the knowledge from the West is prioritized over other existings in this territory, which are invisibilized by the white Western hegemonic academy. Secondly, regarding the extracurricular activities that the university offers, I think they should be more and with better access for all students, since many times the places are extremely limited in capacity and hours, which prevents many from accessing them. On the other hand, a problem that I consider transversal in Chilean education is the high academic load given to students (and consequently high workload for teachers), this in my opinion prevents proper learning, since instead of being able to incorporate a certain amount of content and focus on their learning, the process becomes a fulfillment of th...
